Home > Attorneys > Jonathan P. Farmer Jonathan P. Farmer Jonathan Farmer is a partner in Jones Hawkins & Farmer, PLC. His practice includes the areas of Federal and State criminal litigation, civil litigation, and tort litigation. Mr. Farmer has represented clients in a variety of cases, ranging from white collar criminal defense, public corruption, and state cases such as driving under the influence to commercial business disputes and personal injury. Mr. Farmer was raised in Nashville and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 1996. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2000. Prior to becoming a founding member of Jones Hawkins & Farmer, PLC, Mr. Farmer served as an Assistant Metropolitan Nashville Public Defender May, 2000 until September, 2003, when he entered private practice and joined the law firm of Farmer & Luna, PLLC. Mr. Farmer is a member of the Nashville, Tennessee, and American Bar Associations and is a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Mr. Farmer is an attorney on the Criminal Justice Act Panel. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Woodmont Christian Church and Volunteer Tennessee. From 2000 to 2003, he was a member of the Harry Phillips Chapter of the American Inn of Court. Mr. Farmer is
married and has two children. He remains active in civic and community
activities, including volunteering at Hands on Nashville, Room at the Inn,
