The state's new procurement system took effect April 1, 2012. Rules implementing that system are still being developed. New legislation giving the state's Chief Procurement Officer greater authority and flexibility in state contracting will also be implemented. We will keep you informed as events develop.
The modified version of "loser pays" for litigation that is dismissed for failure to state a claim, Senate Bill 2638 / House Bill 3124, as amended, passed the House of Representatives on April 24. It is scheduled for Senate consideration on April 25.
